MESSAGES FROM OUR PRESIDENT

JULY 2009

I'M BACK!!!!!  JUST A FEW THOUGHTS

Here it is July already; don't forget the meeting July 6, 2009 in the Pueblo Room, Clark County Government Center.  It is a Board Meeting but we wish you would come and share your ideas with us.  We will be discussing more shows this fall and dates.  We hope to have a Mini-Series, with smaller awards at the end of the year.

The last of the regular show season was this last weekend in Cedar City, Utah.  The facilities were very nice, and the city workers took very good care of us.  The weather was just right; we all had a lot of fun.

The entries were about the same number of what we have here in our home shows.  I think our Two-Handed class and our Youth class were probably our biggest classes - that is a good sign.  We had some new faces from Utah; we appreciate them coming to the show and hope they will come back.

Our THANKS to Rod Miller for coming from Texas and judging for us.  Betty Mayer did her usual fine job for us again and I think things went pretty smooth.  THANKS, Betty.

Also, my THANKS to ALL the people that didn't just come to watch but jumped in and helped as well as our Show Committee, the people that worked together to make it happen.  GREAT JOB.

I feel this year has been a learning experience for a lot of us; we overcame a lot of challenges, we found out "how to" fill out all the necessary paperwork and what needs to be done to make a show a "SUCCESS".

I want to THANK every one that put forth the effort of working so hard, on their committees and to all of those that came and played with us.

And we aren't done yet for the year.  It's going to be easier, just club playdays and I think we all have room for a little more enjoyment this fall.

IF YOU AREN'T SLIDIN'        YOU AREN'T RIDIN'

Notes from the Pres., May 2009

We just finished our third point show; the enthusiasm was awesome and the number of entries was up. I believe the biggest one we have had in years.

My thanks to all the hard working people who spend so many hours of their own time to help make our shows a success. I feel our shows have come a long way in a short time.  It is really nice to see so many people that have been gone for awhile, coming back out to play with us. We hope you enjoyed your RIDE.

THANK YOU

I want to THANK all of our sponsors for their support, it is appreciated.

Last, but not least, our THANKS to Marshall and Mellissa Baird for their EXTRA EFFORT in helping us re-organizing the paper work for the entries.

We are talking about having some Fall playdays and maybe some Trainers putting on Clinics for us, because most of us ride all year not just a couple of months. More information will be posted later.

Our next show will be in Cedar City, Utah on June 27 and 28. It is usually about 20 degrees cooler up there. We hope to see a lot of SNRHA Reiners up there.

Thoughts for March

I thought I would share some of my thoughts about the club.

We have had two schooling playdays and very good attendance; I was really pleased that so many people came out to enjoy the day with us.  At the last playday we even snuck in an Awards event for 2008 winners - check out the pictures tab to see some of our winners!

We are getting ready to kick off our point show season on March 28, 2009 at KaiseRosa Ranch.  We all want to thank Pam Kaiser and Eric Coons for letting us come to their place and play. My hat's off to all of my Committees and the hard working people on them.  A lot of time and effort is spent by these people so the shows can run smoothly and all the necessary paperwork is filed where it needs to be.

This year looks like it's going to be a banner year for SNRHA, with all the enthusiasm and perseverance that everyone is promoting. Come be part of it!

PS  You don't need to be a trainer or a boarding stable to put your name down as a Sponsor.

COME ON OUT AND JOIN US & ENJOY THE RIDE

To all SNRHA Members and Fellow Reiners,

I first joined this club many years ago to help myself and my horses ride and perform better, but most important of all- TO HAVE FUN DOING IT, ENJOYING MYSELF AND  FRIENDS IN THE PROCESS!  I wasn't sure what to expect this year, but if our first playday's attendance and participation are any signs of what's ahead of us for this year and next I AM EXCITED!!!  For those of us that have been around awhile, when was the last time we had the number of entries in our classes like we did at our first playday?  We are headed in the right direction, but we still need help- at our shows and on our committees.  We can make it happen and it needs to be a TEAM EFFORT by our club members, and there is no I in TEAM.  I am looking forward to our next playday and our 2009 show season.  COME OUT - JOIN US - AND HAVE FUN!!!

                          Sincerely,

                          Rick Davis
